 5 Game Format –3 Game Pool into Double Elimination. Entry fee is $650.00

Opening Ceremonies Sat. July 11 - Games Start Sun July 12

The tournament committee and directors reserve the right to change game times, playing fields, dates or format, including eliminating the loser’s bracket to complete the tournament in case of inclement weather.

 

Don't Forget about the GIFT Exchange before your first game. Teams will exchange bags with each team, the gifts should reflect your team and/or area you are from.

** All championship games will be played in Zone A or E  if possible

 Rosters:

Your official 2009 NSA Youth Roster, along with your entry fee in the form of a certified check or money order (made payable to NSA), and proof of team insurance must be sent through your State Director for approval. Teams will not be allowed to play without a fully completed roster, including ALL signatures, and copy of Team Insurance policy/Certificate. Any and all team roster issues must be resolved with Your Stare director by July 6, 2009.  NO EXECEPTIONS. Your State Director will forward your entry to the World Series Tournament Director, Tommy Zehmer, VA NSA Director.

*COLLEGE SOFTBALL PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN THE CLASS B WORLD SERIES.

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS:

The age cut-off date will be age as of December 31, 2008. Managers must have proof of age at all times during the tournament, either copy of birth certificate or driver’s license. Please be prepared to have all ID’s checked prior to the first team game of the tournament, and spot checks at any time during the tournament.

Entry Fee

$650.00 – Teams must be NSA sanctioned, a NSA Sanction number will be required of all applicants at the time of entry into the tournament. Your entry fee in the amount of  $650.00 (certified check or money order) mad payable to NSA must be sent along with your completed roster and copy of proof of team insurance to your State Director to arrive no later than July 1, 2009 Midnight. If you do not know the name of your NSA State Director, you may call the National Softball Association Headquarters Office at 859-887-4114 or check the website: www.playnsa.com --access Local Contacts.

Protests:

All umpire judgment calls are final. A Protest Fee of $75.00 (cash) must be posted at the time of the protest. If the protest is ruled in your favor, your money will be returned.

Bats:

All bats must have a factory/manufactured stamp of 1.20 BPF (No stickers allowed.) They must be on the NSA Approved Bat List. Check www.playnsa.com approved equipment. Players/Team bats are subject to checks.

Souvenirs:

A variety of official NSA souvenirs such as clothing, pins, pin bags and miscellaneous items will be on sale at registration, opening ceremonies and throughout the tournament.
